lsandersonThe new computer case (Antec) arrived yesterday around 5:30. I'd almost given up on it. I moved the motherboard out from the old case after running out to MicroCenter to pick up a part. WoW for quiet. The new case has a fan control through the power supply. It's amazing! I added one fan in front the disk array, and because I took it off the case door, it does not have a plug that I can plug into the motherboard. The case is a bit short for my tastes -- I prefer the full server cases so I can just reach over and stick in CDs, etc. The fan noise, which varied between a vacuum cleaner in heat and a small tornado grinding up the desk (amazingly leaving all the dust bunnies undisturbed), is just a whir. I do have to reach down to put in a CD, however. The MicroCenter part that I ran out to get, when I openned it, was busted and would not work with my motherboard. I wanted to get the USB and FireWire up higher in the case.
