I got up at 5:00 to help set up the MNSTF garage sale, Part II. We got more foot traffic and had a better audience for much of the material we were trying to sell. The guiltiest I got was when a pair of Hispanic guys bought an ancient laptop for $10.00. I was going to sell it to them for $5.00, but chickened out when they didn't barter. I almost gave one a bike (the family had bought quite a few small things), but since the bike sold later, it may have been a good thing.

I took a break from the sale in the afternoon and went out and visited my aunt. She was sitting outside in the sun. We talked for a bit, answered her e-mail, and I ran back (stopping for a quick coffee) only to find the garage sale all packed up. I stopped briefly at the MNSTF meeting, had a small, unpleasant exchange with Doug Wickstrom, heard entirely too much about guns and gun training, and left to go to the Illusion Theater.

Did not make it to Loring Park.

The piece (Fresh Ink) at the Illusion was loose numbers of song and poetry in protest to the current administration and war policy. Tim & Paul Frantzich were especially good. I almost bought one of their CDs, but restrained myself. After looking at their website and listening to a few of their songs, I'm glad I did -- a wee bit too religious for me.

For the first time in ages, I made it to the Eagle. Drewan, where wuz you? They've broken through to the building next door and the area round the bar is rapidly being built up. I arrived around 10:00, after changing into a Cellblock T-Shirt and my hiking boots, only to find that they did not enforce the leather code (in spite of what their dratted website said). Saw Bob and his friend Steve. Kelly gave up on the traffic.
