Nice movie, but Ewan Macgregor keeps most of his clothes on throughout the movie, which is always a disappointment. Ittsa art house movie, a wee bit long, a wee bit passive, a wee bit heavy, but with a lotta art and talking. His father, Hal, dead at the start of the movie, came out after his wife died. Complications ensue. Goran Visnjic, the only actor I had any issues with, who was oh so hot in ER, plays the lover of his father. Christopher Plumber, who plays the father, does a great performance. Lots of graphics and pictures in the movie, which, you may have gathered by now, is not linear. Hal and Andy (Goran) contrast to Oliver (Ewan) and Anna. Oliver has trouble sustaining relationships, which he blames on his parent's marriage. There's a lot of referential images and scenes. There's also a dog, a jack russell, to tie the characters together. (The dog only does text.)

The docent scene with the mother is a hoot, as is her explanation for fleeing the opening.
