Has discovered waffles. There was a whinge the other day that we were out of waffle mix.

"No problem," I said, reaching for a cookbook, which didn't thrill someone, and there wuz no waffles that night.

The last trip or so to Lunds, I brought home some more waffle mix. Soon the sound of bananas mashed with butter chorused up the stairs. Shortly afterwards, banana waffles emerged from the iron.

Mango, I've been assured, make much better waffles, but not the mangoes you can buy around here.

Should someone have more waffles than can be eaten, rest assured that there are waffles eaters at the ready, a mere phone call away. Who don't even mind the lack of appropriate mangoes.

My house does not come with a person who makes banana waffles and my life seems a little more dim for it. Alas.
