I found some Opal Apples at Lunds last night. They're quite good, although they cost about as much as the golden apples of the sun.

I'm amused by the deseeder. I expected it to make a spraying mess, but it seemed to capture most of it. (Still, I notice the demonstrator was wearing jeans and a black shirt!)

I wonder what I have around that I could fake something like that, just to see if it worked.

I liked their juiciness and crunch for such a late season choice. Nice for eating out of hand. I haven't baked with them.
