Jun. 2nd, 2003 08:48 amMy morning visit with my aunt got cancelled because she was going to attend services at the church she used to attend via a handicapped taxi. Instead I read the Sunday papers and cleaned up the yard. (Not that anyone actually went outside...)
I had most of the snacks out by 1:30, which is when Tony arrived. He was the first Minicon volunteer to show up for the kickoff meeting. People began straggling in until close to 2:30, which is about the time we started the meeting. As usual, people did not eat enough.
After the meeting, we sat around and talked until after six. I had some old friends who were having an open house not far from where I work, and I ran out there intending to stay for only a few minutes, then run to my aunt's with her clean laundry, and back to the Flaming Film Festival for I.K.U. I made it to the open house, but not to my aunt's or to the film.
