Great MNSTF meeting yesterday at
Scott and Irene's. Lottsa people, lottsa talk, and the cake
Andrew asked me to buy for Joe. Got it at
Wuollet's on Hennepin, over in beautiful
Uptown (from Almost Uptown where I live). I asked for a gay SF theme cake,
and, since the girl at the counter had trouble, visualizing the order, I
suggested a beefcake (beefcake is always tasteful both on and off a cake) and
a rocket ship. And they put a big, well muscled guy on it. Joe and Andrew had
a great deal of fun eating the guy, and I noticed that Joe's piece was about
twice the size of the rest of ours, but it was his cake and his birthday. The
cake was really nice, and I hope Andrew puts it up on his website after DDB
sends him the picture.

I called Andrew this morning, who
was not accepting calls on his cellphone yet, because CompUSA has the Samsung
color Palm phone that he's been lusting after on their Sunday flyer. 'Course,
the store does not open until 11:00 and there is no guarantee it's in stock,
but he's been wanting one ever since he saw it.

Got the first round of tax stuff
over to the MNSTF accountant. Finally. At long last. Yesterday, after I picked
up the cake and on the way over to Scott & Irene's.

Thinking about
Laurel's band pick for tonight at
Kieran's. Hmm...
