Somehow, this seems to me to be too frank and blunt for a Politician at Issa's level. Not, mind you, that his priorities for Investigation strike me as being much more sensible -- but then, we're not dealing with a politcal Party that is concerned with Governance for the benefit of the People. (And, frankly, I don't see that the Party called "Democratic" is much better.)
