I’m changing from one computer to another at work. Hooking up to a newer steam boiler has proven difficult as imagined. I just added pictures back into one helpfile that had helpfully decided to embed them, and dump their links, names, and locations and produce an 80 meg RTF file that this new computer (owing probably to insufficient steam in the boiler) would not save. Editing a file that will not save is not very productive. It reminds me of trying to do my taxes this year, but that’s another story.

The powers that be decided I only needed the standard three partitions, and that they’d leave four or five gigs unformatted. One of the partitions they made a dummy, with quite little space.

Partitioning?

Now that's insane. I assume you're going to be fixing that shortly, if you haven't already?

Reading this reminds me of what human conversation sounds like to a dog: Blah blah blah computer blah blah blah taxes blah blah blah dummy blah blah blah. I really ought to get educated.

Ifn you think there's boilers and steam pipes, you may need some further education. Otherwise, partitions are valuable only if you have to setup or manage computers.
