This is merely a Personal Opinion, of course, but I consider it Morally Wrong to put a whole duck into the pot. The Virtuous /P/e/r/s/o/n/ Gourmand roasts the duck, consumes the breast and leg meat, then consigns the remainder to the stockpot.
