this is why i balk at the thought of living in minneapolis. i love it there, but you all get those extra weeks of snow at the beginning and end.

Oh, that looks _so_ pretty... from here in Southern California. (And thanks for providing this opportunity to Rub It In, as well as the reminder that it's about time to plant out, in the vegetable garden, the four 4-inch pots of broccoli and some small pak choi & lettuce.)

Actually, for here, it's late for the first planting of broccoli, and early for the second (which would extend the harvest season through August). This might not be entirely accidental, much less tragic, mind you -- dutifuly eating broccoli every day for six months becomes A Bit Much.
