Not only now with more Froyo, but at the dentist's office, I learned that:

A) I had maxed out my dental insurance for the year

B) I had a $700 dollar credit (which oddly enough they seemed not at all as excited about as they had been when they thought I owed them $600). For some inexplicable reason in a country with the bestest medical establishments in the World, my dental insurance company decided that the dentists had obviously confused the billing when I had two dental visits in one day, and the following retreatment and additional root canal left them in a complete tizzy unable to add right. Of course, the dental office trying to sneak by higher than contracted prices, may have added to the their confusion.

C) I moved the next cleaning to January 4th, along with the an appointment for the grinding and crown.

D) Gold or white porcelain?

White porcelain is my personal preference.

Ghetto gold in front! It'll make you look like a carny!

Sorry, been there and done that. I had one of my front teeth broken when I was 12. I lived with a gold cap for far too long after that to ever want gold again.

What, you can't get lead fillings anymore?

If you habitually dress up like a pirate, than gold all the way.

Otherwise, I'd go with the white porcelain.

Gold or white porcelain?

Neither. There's a new high-tech white material that doesn't have the downside of porcelain (i.e., danger of chipping), and costs the same.

That's what I got for my most recent crown.

I can't remember what it's called, but if you need me to find out, I can ring my dentist.

Gold in the back, white in the front, flip a coin for the middle.

Or go with the new stuff mentioned above; it sounds nifty.
