It seems to me a bit worrying that Scott can in any way understand the graphic sexual violence in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as prurient or titillating. Brutal, yes. Sickening and harsh, sure. Titillating, not so much, no.

I'd guess that bondage or S&M freaks might get off on it. Otherwise, I'll agree with you. It's not meant to titillate.
