When I make sangria, it’s usually a hit-or-miss affair. I keep adding wine, brandy, fruit and soda to a pitcher until it tastes right. So it’s nice to have a recipe.

Right now is the best time to make the black cherry sangria to serve 6 or 7: a bottle of red wine, a cup of fresh orange juice, a cup of halved, pitted fresh cherries, 3/4 cup of black cherry syrup and 1/4 cup Grand Marnier. Marshmallow Roast
Jun. 25th, 2008 10:19 amThere was an exciting opportunity for roasting marshmallows last night, complete with flashing colored lights and everything just off the corner of 27th & Garfield. I peeked out the window but resisted going out with a camera. The house is boarded up this morning. Somebody thinks we need to move to Hawaii.
