I fell prone to browsing Natter this morning. I should know better. Bad me. It's very much like a loose tooth that the tongue cannot leave alone. I fired off several e-mails that I probably should have resisted.

I ran out to my aunt's this morning. She was not feeling very good. I dropped of her laundry and then I ran out and got her a new toothbrush (her other one had fallen on the floor) and some chocolates. My sister and cousin are in town. They'd brought her a big basket of toiletries and chocolate potato chips from a place in Fargo.

I left my aunt around 11:00 and headed back through the gauntlet of the Uptown Art Fair to hit Lunds and TCF. I lusted after a big apple pie in Lunds, but stuck to potato salad and sausages for the picnic. I ran to the French Meadow to pick up some bread.
Back at home, I through together some pink stuff, packed the ice chest with soda and ice from the icemaker, and loaded everything in the car. I then tried to find the picnic space, which was difficult to get to because of a race (they had the main street blocked off). I found a route that wandered through the Veterans Home, and for the second year, was the first one to the picnic area.

I unloaded my car and sat to wait. Laura and David arrived shortly afterewards. At some point, a large contingency of Hispanic/Indians arrived and took over the assigned picnic area where we were supposed to be.
Several people brought dogs. (Must remember next year if we hold a picnic there, that it is posted as no dogs.) Several of the dogs got along not well with each other.

I had to leave around six to get ready to go eat with my sister and cousin at Goodfellows. Tim was there, who I ustta know from Fargo and who has worked there forever. He bought my sister a desert, and we thanked him before we left. I was too stuffed from the picnic to eat much, but had a salad and a bowl of soup. Both were excellent. My cousin had the tasting menu, but I could not talk my sister into trying it. She had pork.
