Back to work today after the long weekend. I ran out and saw "About Schmidt" last night, and while I enjoyed it, I think I shoulda gone and caught another picture. I don't think it's going to rank high for the Oscars. It's too midwestern. "Chicago," "Gangs of New York," one o' them. Parking I think was free in Uptown yesterday. I felt nervous about it all the time I was in the theatre. But no ticket when I emerged.

I've got 15 days from last Friday to move my Aunt's furniture and stuff out of the Assisted Living at Jones-Harrison. I talked to a couple of different people there yesterday. The last time I called my aunt, she was getting on her new wheelchair. I've heard no reports of anybody run over in the halls, so I assume it went well.

Have no bites on the car. Have not heard if the ad got posted at General Mills.

Thong called from Hanoi this morning. He's hiding out from his family yet once again. They're further south.

My aunt called me at work. They've got a regular double room that she can move into. It has more floor space than the rehab room she's in right now.

Her friend was checking out the Walker NH here in the city. Rumor has it the food isn't good. The food at Jones-Harrison has actually been edible the times I've tried it, and the menus sound good. This is a huge plus in my book.

On the downside, they change shifts at 10:30. The evening shift starts leaving around 10:00 p.m. and they want to have everybody tucked into their beds before they leave. My aunt does not want to go to bed that early. The day crew says "Oh, just tell them when you want to go to bed." The night crew does not share that feeling. Last night, they got her to bed at 1:30 a.m. The night before was 11:00. The night before that was 10:00. 10:30 to 11:00 seems not to work well because of the shift change.

The first thing Thong asked about, of course, was how his fish are doing. They're all fine, except for the one that jumped out of the tank, all 65 jewel fish, the bala sharks, the pink tailed whatever and the various catfish.
