The ice machine is working again. I'd replaced the valve because the water stopped dispensing. The new valve worked, but it still flooded the freezer once in a while. I replaced the ice machine. No ice. I screwed around. No ice. I e-mailed Sears on Friday and got an appointment today between 7:30 and 12:00 p.m. By 11:45, the guy had not shown, and I was on the phone to Sears when I saw the truck drive past my house. (At least this guy could find it -- the last time I called them, they called to say they could not find the house. I'd have some sympathy, but Minneapolis is a grid system, very straight forward where I live. -- they wuz MapQuestless idiots.) Anyway, the repairman showed up at 11:58. After quite a bit of screwing around, he determined that the new valve had failed. Grump. He replaced it with a more expensive Sears version (strangely identical since they're both from Whirlpool), replace part of the door hinge, and left around 1:10. I've been having that kind of a day.
Thong is off at the doctor's. My aunt is being evaluated for assisted living at Jones-Harrison. I've tried calling her a few times, but still no answer. At least it's gorgeous out there.
I spent most of Saturday and all of Sunday with my aunt in scenic Golden Valley. One of her ex-half-in-law, his wife and daughter stopped by on Sunday, and there was much chatter. I've vague recollections of him from an implement dealer in New Rockford in the long ago.
