I just thought of another excuse, it's all Steven Spielberg's fault that I'm not done with Xmas... and the SciFi channel... yeah, that's it! If it wasn't for Taken, I'd be done already. Well, maybe.

I just read an article which said it boosted their ratings over UPN and WB. I caught almost all of them real-time, which involved watching an incredible number of advertisements. The one or two nights I taped it, significatly reduced the time sink.

"Gangs of New York" seems to be getting raves of a type. The Times loved it (http://www.nytimes.com/2002/12/20/movies/20GANG.html), although admitted it had a few flaws. The Slate reviewer David Edelstein
(http://www.slate.msn.com/id/2075910/)wants to see the director's cut, something like 3.5 hours versus the studio's 2 hour 45 minute cut.

Woohoo! Thong was home when the UPS driver hit. The drives have landed. Give or take a bit, I should have 300 gigs of RAID 5 storage. Well, give or take quite a bit considering the time it's going to take to format it, install the operating system, and start moving things over from my current main computer. I'm not sure what will be left, but it's going to be fun to find out.
