The maple outside my window is turning red on the east side. It's small, planted where an elm stood twelve or so years ago, the top is about even with the office windows on the second floor. The catalpa is hanging on to its leaves. They tend to drop them all at once when the first killing frost hits. Its bigger brother in the back yard does the same trick every year.

Taxes today! Have to work on the club taxes.

Back from L.I.E., the Gap tour, and a quick lake walk & coffee in Uptown. L.I.E. was great. Good coming of age story as your life goes to hell. Joe, Andrew, Sapien & one more -- eat your heart out Kelly. Speaking of Kelly, I'm off to his place, then off to the Walker. Sure getting a lot of work done in the basement. And I'm on fish feeding duty this weekend, dragon fish upstairs and the sharks in the basement.
