I was thinking the other day (I know, it's always a dangerous thing, thinking) that my first computer, a KayPro II back in 1982, had something like a 2.5 MHz processor (which I hopped up to 4 MHz), 64K of memory, and an 80 character by 24 line monitor. My phone has a 1 GHz processor and something like 1G ROM, 512MB RAM, and it'll take another 32G card. The display is (800x480) 65K colors, and it weighs six ounces. I lugged the KayPro through an airport once, and it felt like it weighed 64 pounds. OK, maybe I exaggerate... it felt like it weighted 164#.
