It was not a referendum on Barack Obama, who in every poll remains one of the most popular politicians in America. It was not a rejection of universal health care, which Massachusetts mandated (with Scott Brown’s State Senate vote) in 2006. Date: 2010-01-24 05:49 pm (UTC)Well, there's a simple move Obama could make to counter the rumours of horrors in the HC bill (death panels, cuts to medicare, mandates/fines, no more Canada imports, etc etc). He could promise to veto any bill which included any of those things.
