Bush promises pie in the sky, especially if you're rich.
The take-over-the-world-real-soon-now cabal met last night at my place. Some people may have eaten stinky cheese. One of the expensive candles dripped wax in the bathroom while the cheapo ones burned quite happily on the stairs. No one at all sat in the living room where I'd built a fire. I'd tell you what we plotted, but then I'd hafta kill you and myself as a security leak.
Whilst shopping for herring at Ingebretsen's in the wilder edges of Lake Street, I saw some Swedish candle holders, which they had in black and in another, lighter color of metal. After determining that they had several, I bought them. I also bought some pins from Rex Hardware to hang them on the stairway wall. Thong was not much impressed, although I left one and asked him to put it up. Sometime later, there was a great deal of hammering. He put it up right over the cheapest picture I've ever bought, a David Hockney reproduction from Goodwill. (I'd imagine David Hockney is not popular at Goodwill.) Hanging the picture was a major to-do because the plaster is layered directly over the outside of the chimney. I looked at, but did not place candles there because I figured it would be painful. The brick is hard. There is now a candle holder over the picture. I'm sure it will drip wax on it. I also think there's a crater where I drove the nail in to hang the picture. It is a problem which would be easier to fix if I had more green paint, a larger David Hockney reproduction, a different candle holder, or better candles.
MNSTF Board meeting is Wednesday night.
I could go to the NC Gaylaxians discussion group, or I could go home and pay bills. Hmm...
