The house is on a local road with little traffic, a few minutes' walk from the medieval village of Flayosc, where there are several restaurants and a market. More Photos ยป

995,000 EUROS ($1,462,500)
Many details in this early 19th-century home recall its days as an olive oil mill. The large arched doorways once accommodated horse-drawn carts, and several rooms have stone alcoves that housed machinery. Though the structure was converted to a residence in the 1960s, the area is still known for its olive oil production. More

Here's what I'd like to know: why is it that all the URs you post from nytimes.com take me to a login page, but if I just go to nytimes.com myself, and then navigate to the story you link to, I don't see a login page at all?

Odd, is what it is.

Interesting.

When I click on his URLs, I never get a login page -- and it's not because I am already logged in. My guess is that you have referrer logging disabled, and that the site notices that and forces you to log in. Opera has a way to selectively enable referrer logging for specific sites; do the Mac equivalanet of right clicking on the page and look for that option.

But I don't have to login when I go to nytimes.com. When I go to that page, I *am* logged in.

I don't understand my browser it seems.

Check whether you have referred logging turned on or off.

There's nothing called "referred logging" in any preferences tab in Safari. You can shoulder-surf while I look for it after you get home.

It might have something to do with Autofill names and passwords, but a) that doesn't explain why I AM looged in when I visit nytimes.com but AM NOT when visiting one of Larry's links, and b) also doesn't explain why I am always logged into netflix when I navigate there.

(For all other web destinations using a password, I type it in every time I visit the site.)

I'm always logged into the site, and I think my URLs show that...
