Dec. 17th, 2002 06:44 pmWe had a meeting this morning at work, so I almost caused the receptionist to have a heart attack when I showed up before 9:00. Big breakfast and a L O N G meeting. The software I wanted to work on, was, of course, down all day. I had other things to work on, but did I complain? Continually! It's going out to a new beta site Friday, so it's not really like there's a long time to work on it.
FedEx dropped off the Promise RAID 5 card next door. I ran over and rescued it. The four drives are still in a UPS truck somewhere between MN and CA. (Now, why didn't I blow for next day?) Of course whilst I was shopping, I noticed that the serial IDE controllers are starting to trickle into the market. I could not find any drives, however. They've got some kind of adapter so you can drive a standard IDE drive. So, once again I've fallen behind the bleeding edge.
I bought the wrong kind of chocolates last night at Walgreens for my Aunt. I've gotta take two things back there and pick up some inhalers that the insurance company would not cough up for yet. (It's strange that they don't track if I run over a month but they do track if I run under a month...)
I both waited too long to buy TTT tickets and offered to cook for my Aunt on Wednesday night. Doh!

re. nursing homes, there is a list (from the state) of nursing home ratings. I don't know where it is, sorry - but Little Brother's Friends of the Elderly, where I've done volunteer work has access to it, knows about it.
re. nursing homes, I was at Kozlaks today for lunch and a bus of people from (Augusta? Augustus?) was coming in for lunch. Pretty obvious a nursing home.
I'm sorry re. the ALS - I have known other people with it.
(And I admit to ask, what about heredity? Can you be checked?)
Sorry not to be more useful.
