Silly question- I've noticed an awful lot of asymmetrical sinks recently. Why? I'd prefer having as much sink space as possible- not one big one and one tiny one.
Most people use a dishwasher for cleaning dishes. The big sink takes takes pots and pans that won't fit in the dishwasher. The small sink is a prep sink with the garbage disposal.
That makes sense- I also understand now why I prefer it the other way- I want enough space to wash in one sink and rinse in the other without having to empty the wash sink. I guess I just took it for granite that everyone else would like it the same way. Maybe I'm just losing my marbles.
