Nov. 20th, 2002 07:11 amThe Minicon Programming Brainstorming Session went well, although there were few of us. We looked mostly at possible panel people. I hit Bill's Imported Foods for pita, feta, olives, nuts, and dried fruit, and the French Meadow for a loaf of bread. The French Meadow had a chocolate bread that I've not seen there before. They let me taste it, and while it was quite chocolaty, I didn't think it would quite work, so I bought a sour-dough rye instead.
The bread sat round and whole through much of the meeting, with nobody attacking it because they only wanted one piece. Like it doesn't have a limited lifetime. Once the first slice got cut, half the loaf vanished in a flurry of knives.
Joe and Scott were the last two to arrive. We broke up around 9:00 or so, and then Joe and I ran upstairs and perused the MNSTF books for a bit looking at the black hole TOTU causes. While Joe and I were upstairs, the pseudo-child arrived. He's been trying to get me to upgrade his laptop to a different, pirated, OS. By the time Joe left, Thong had carved and eaten all of the crust off the bread. At some point the pseudo child wandered off to Bloomington, and I sat up and answered e-mail.
