I'm rather surprised that there's no mention of cyclamate in the article. That's still my favorite sweetener, though Splenda comes close. Time for another trip to Canada to buy more, soon.

Well, that's probably the reason -- nobody in the U.S. has been able to get cyclamate in too long.

While my tastebuds remember cyclamate-sweetened drinks as far superior to saccharin or aspartame or (what for me is undrinkable) sucralose, it's been so long that I can't be sure.
