WoW, really? I thought the commenters had some good points, although they mostly seem like Mac nuts.

I'm assuming the kernel's safer in a Mac. Windows Vista isn't solving anything by making the user click Yes 300 times an hour.

I think the Mac is, out of the box, somewhat sfer, but -- as the article said -- the primary reason Macs are more secure is that they are much, much less of a target.

I like the advice of using a separate browser for online banking.

Back in the depths of time there were several extremely annoying Mac viruses floating around. The art dept. upstairs was totally infected and, being artists they couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. And since this was before the building had floor-to-floor ethernet, every floppy (and, later, Syquest or Zip) they sent down here rang the Symantec alarm bells on our mighty Quadras.
