Because $99 wasn't good enough. Sheesh.
I was pleased to get my two for $250 each, back when. (Externals, though, so even today they'd be significantly higher, those cases cost $35 or so.) (Since I've used them for backups for a couple of years, I'm not complaining.)
I love living in the future.
