Epic Proportions?
Jan. 23rd, 2009 05:30 amHow could I sleep through, let alone miss a flame war of such epic proportions? Millions, I say again, millions of electrons have died for their sins, and yet I slept soundly at night amidst the maple sawdust.

Date: 2009-01-23 02:09 pm (UTC)It's all about how authors can't write People of Color (POC) characters, which has ignited several brush wars that have been burning along side the original flamewar. (You know the one, if you ain't a tailor, well then you can't write about tailoring.) And, I missed it!
It sounds, from the outside, like that old, tired argument, that if adopted, would forever end the art form known as fiction. And as a writer of massive books of fiction (granted only for the computer software trade), I'd be outta business.
Of course, since I'm not reading the flamewar, this is all conjecture. I have heard, however, that there's at least one other thing wrong on the Internet. Now if only I could find it...

Billions of photons will never be seen again.
