You can't help but admire an industry that fought tooth and nail lobbied congress to keep it from increasing mileage requirements going back to them for a FIFTY BILLION DOLLAR loan now that the HUMMER ain't selling too well... Link

We did it for Chrysler, the Airlines, ad nauseum. I'm not surprised that they're asking for the money -- everyone else got it, why shouldn't they?

See, the reason that the capitalist class deserves the riches that they've acquired is because they take financial risks. What if the government said no? Then they'd be out a whole bunch of money just because they marketed something that people didn't want. That's not fair at all.
