Took me a while to figure out why that photo was obscurely disturbing. There's something Missing. Any number of things would do -- a few shrimp; a slice of cooked meat; a sprig of parsley, cilantro, shiso; slice of carrot; or sprinkling of diagonally-sliced scallions (but not a sprinking of red peppers, for me, thank you very much). (Granted, I'm not sufficiently familiar with that cuisine to be sure "Pho Bo" doesn't mean "naked noodles", but it still looks Wrong.)
