Crayfish PartyRegistration has been extended for the American Swedish Institute's annual Crayfish Party, which will be held this Saturday, August 16th at 6 p.m.
The first week of August marks the beginning of crayfish season, and Swedes celebrate by enjoying crayfish boiled in salt water and seasoned with plenty of fresh dill. The delicacy is served cold, accompanied by bread, cheese, and many cold beverages. The ASI crayfish party rounds out the menu with Swedish meatballs, boiled potatoes, cucumber salad, and dessert.
Songmaster Gregg White will be on hand to encourage singing during the meal, and Ole Olsson's Oldtime Orkestra will provide old-time Scandinavian music for dancing afterwards
Call 612-871-4907 by 5 p.m. on Wednesday to make your reservation.
It's not too late to join in the fun!
