lsandersonWent out to my aunt's last night after waiting for Karen to show up and rescue her violet (which I left outside on the porch, but it was still here when I returned). Had to do some battery replacements. Her garage door openers had stopped working, and I pried one open, took it to the small hardware store close to her in Golden Valley, where they were out of the batteries. I also had her phone battery with me, and they didn't have that either.
Next door was a Radio Shack, which I figured was well worth the try. There was a cute young man in back of the counter, clothes horse type, who helped me, after looking all over for his battery tester which gave me ample opportunity to admire his pants. Garage door opener batteries (which they had) were still good, and they had a battery for the phone (marked down to $14.99 from $50). Went back, we ate, and I switched the garage door opener off of vacation where it had gotten after somebody hit the wrong button trying to close the door.
I also reversed the banister I'd put on flipped. Ran home around 9:00 and didn't do anything at all. Still tired from Sunday.
