WoW, Jesse is tossing in the towel. After he and the legislature lowered the state's bond rating. They just worked so well together.

When I first read this I thought you were saying that he resigned, and not that he decided not to run for reelection. That's hardly "throwing in the towel," although it is not pursuing a second towel.
