A modest correction - I do not have a slight phobia about pictures.

I have an strong unwillingness to have my picture taken - largely because eventually I'll have to look at the picture, and be forced to face the way I look.

"As a beauty, I am not a star,
there are others more handsome, by far.
But my face - I don't mind it -
because I'm behind it.
It's the people in front that I jar!"

Seeing photographs of myself is always jarring (I think O. Nash is responsible for the limerick, but I could be mistaken)
