I may hafta stop knocking Apple laptops. They just replaced the DVD drive and put the third motherboard in mine (my Sony laptop). The power connector went wonky and the first replaced motherboard network connection never worked. Last time I tried using the DVD burner, it kept not finding the disk, although it worked fine to boot from.

Third motherboard = brand new lap top for me. I guess because they didn't know what was wrong it any of the times they fixed it.

Taking three or four tries to get a machine to work = stop knocking them? Seems more like a reason to start.

I can see it as a reason to praise their customer service, though.

Yeah, I missed that (thought the "they" referred to the previous sentence). Sony is a weird combination of neat ideas, attempted monopolizing, good and bad implementations, and stupid evil.

On second thought, they shoulda checked the wired connector after they replaced the first motherboard. They probably just checked the wireless, which worked fine.
