Oh, they were perfectly fantastic champignons de paris. And I was delighted with them. But next year, I was thinking some Chicken of the Woods, since I have such good luck finding shelf funguses. Or a little clump of enoki.
The mushrooms are awesome. Somebody else on my friendslist got a little wild with her marzipan and they ended up putting spiders and dragonflies and a scorpion on their log. I didn't appreciate the effect properly until I'd seen an original with mushrooms, though.
