The idiot that picked it up on recycling day came to the door to complain that it didn't work. Imagine that! For his trouble, he got the remote. TV still dead.

That's pretty funny. I'm all for the guy grabbing the tv, but to come back and complain that it didn't work, that seems humerous. Pretty kind of you to give him the remote. Hope he gets some good out it. Or at least recycles it properly.

Next time, just be totally open in your signage.

We left a riding mower on the front lawn with a sign: 'Free. Transmission broken, all tires leak, engine turned over last three years ago" Gone in twenty minutes, and no complaints heard.

That would fit at 72 pt font. I'da hadta make the sign bigger or the font smaller... ;-)
