Mighty pretty she is. When we got to watch Endeavor lift off in a night launch in 2000 (STS-97), it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. This was the night before Smofcon -- best opening ceremony ever.
Very cool. I got up at the crack of dawn, joined by my toddler daughter, to watch a shuttle land -- don't remember which one, it was the one after the last explosion -- and I cried as I saw it land successfully and safely. Watching the shuttles take off or land always seems to be a moving experience.
