Thanks so much for the vicarious Wiscon! I love the desaturated, almost-black-and-whiteness of these images - was that intentional, or just a factor of how your camera shoots indoors?

I could say it was after hours of work with Photoshop, but it's done using a Sony camcorder taking one megapixel pictures without flash. It can harvest enough light off the CCD to take pictures, and I think they look atmospheric, plus, there's no flash going off in everybody's face. I do have to kick up the light levels in a lot of them.
