The almond grater that I've been using as a bookend for lo these many years, does a pretty fine job of grating almonds. It looks like a miniature meat grinder, with a fine rotating cylinder that does the grinding. All I could find wuz slivered almonds. I didn't buy any at Bill's yesterday, and I didn't want to blanch them. The Wedge had Bob's almond meal, and I got a bag, but it's ~$15 a pound. After I grated half a bag of slivered almonds, I discovered that you had to put the pusher in an push those little suckers against the grating cylinder. I can no longer remember where I got the almond grater, but it was on sale and I paid quite little for it.

Sounds exactly like mine; it also does a faboo job on grating cheese.

One of my specialties is flourless chocolate cake made with walnut meal. I couldn't live without my grater. Oh, and, with Tom mostly gone I made Viennese Crescents for the first time in forever. Yep; grated almonds.
