last night at the Lagoon, they sneaked Wender's film in. I made it there around 6:00. There was plenty of room in the theater, but the line filled the lobby.
The movie started on a movie set in the wilds of Utah with lottsa scratches. They went away and the movie started to hold forth. More about the movie later.
After the movie, Wim Wenders did a Q&A.
He talked about writing the script over several years in Stillwater. He explained why it was a '54 Packard -- I kept trying to recognize it in the movie. He talked about shooting scenes, and the homage to Hopper. It was around ten when it ended.
