A while ago, I bought a bag of navel oranges from Cub. The bag wuz cheap; the oranges wuz from Texas; and I've bought boxes of good Texas oranges from Asian grocery stores. These oranges, of course, were not good. The first one I peeled was not orange either. Either the tree had some blood orange in it, or it'd been cavorting with a pink grapefruit. Now, good blood oranges are incredible -- sweet and flavorful. These oranges were not. I've bought oranges at orchards. These did not taste like that. And, they hug their peel to them. I've eaten one or two, but mostly they've been sitting in the fridge. But, before the fungi strike, I dragged out the juicer and I've been running four or five through once or twice a day.
