There’s been lots of public discourse around the state of things in Uptown Minneapolis on op-ed pages, on social media and now on the Minnesota Star Tribune’s business page. The quintuple-bylined piece opens with a recent weekend scene where people lined up for hotdogs at Moona Moono. “At least on the surface, the area showed no signs of imminent death. Another interesting thing that happened at the GOP convention, reportedly at a delegate’s request, was a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who is serving a prison sentence for the murder of George Floyd, reports FOX 9. The moment was led by the convention chair, state Rep. Danny Nadeau of Rogers, according to the Winona Journal. Via MinnPost
