It may help that the research was done at the UofM here in Minneapolis, but it was widely published when it broke and when the article was retracted by the journal that published it. Of course, the damage it did is fairly uncalcuable, and if you consider that most scientists change their minds by what they grew up believing, we're still one generation from better research.
