The comic strip B.C. used to have a character, a turkey who was terrified of being slaughtered for Thanksgiving, and was always running away in fear. In one strip, he sees a well and thinks it a good place to hide. So he jumps in, and in the next panel his word balloon appears, saying "They'll never find me in here."

And another word balloon says "Me neither."

So the turkey asks, "Who are you?"

And the other voice says, "I'm a can of cranberry sauce."
