I am nuts for her stuff! Big time!! When I was younger, my family would go to the State Fair every year. One of the hightlights for me was seeing the crop art display. I was (and still am) a HUGE fan of Ms. Colton's. About 15 years ago I met her for the first time. I was star-struck. No kidding. I find it fairly ironic, of all the folks I've met in my life (and I've met quite a few when I was working in the music industry), she's the person I've been in awe of the most. Silly but true. If you haven't seen her art, then go to the Fair! And I might as plug this at the same time.....Chas and I are performing in the MBOTMA Duet Competition on Friday Sept 3. The event runs from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. We'll have the actual details later on our website. But stop by the agriculture building first to see Lilian's portraits. They're quite impressive!
