I found the faucet yesterday stuck in the back door. UPS gets ever more inventive. Although, I guess I could change the batteries in the doorbell again. Anyway, it has very rough threads, two minor blemishes in the escutcheon casting (front, of course) and, while I was attempting to overlook that, a dinged screw on one of the faucet handles. Dinged screw? WTF. Somebody must have had a very bad day with their little power screwdriver.... grr. Otherwise, it looks good, but damn, it's going to be hard to put in. Vern drilled access holes, and the wood is too thick, so we're going to have to drill up from the bottom so that there's room to attach the faucet and connect to the water pipes.
I e-mailed Ira Wood, and called Chicago Faucet. Chicago sounded as if it's an every day thing. Oh, you need an FSR... doh.
