Ittsa wrong-way kinda day
Jan. 31st, 2018 03:04 pmOn my way to Lunds, my favoritest Uptown grocery store, there was a car facing the wrong way on the sidewalk sort of cozying up to a low retaining wall with a fair number of parking marker poles flattened behind it. A cop car had also pulled over with the flashers on, and I think someone was sitting in the car. I say, I say, I say, I could not imagine the scenario that put the car there. No black ice or snow on Lake Street, which is about three lanes wide at that point. No fog. No obvious flying saucers. It's not that it suddenly became a one-way. It's been like that for mumble years already. I doubt that a wall of cars approaching from the newly renamed lake would cause a driver to panic quite that much.
On my way back to the house on 28th Street, also long a one-way, and now with an extra special bike lane, here comes another car the wrong way down a one car lane one-way street.
Maybe it's something in the water? Super Bowl fever?
